Mr Kerry gives the GOP a present
I’m not sure which part of this is more stupid: Mr Kerry’s initial comment,
“You know, education—if you make the most of it, you study hard and do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in
Or his response, when members of both parties called for him to apologize to the troops,
“The White House’s attempt to distort my true statement is a remarkable testament to their abject failure in making
Many Democrats are white-hot that he would make such a comment just before an election, giving the GOP a surprise gift just when they need it most. This says more about the Democrats than the GOP or Mr Kerry. Mr Kerry’s comments are inappropriate and insulting at any time. I hope to Heck you appreciate how long it took me to find this quote!! (Maybe 7 minutes on Google.) Back in January, John Kerry called to filibuster Samuel Alito. He was in Switzerland at the time...possibly windsurfing. That magic moment cleared the way for Alito to join the Supreme Court. I am convinced that no other Senator could have single handedly kicked Alito through the process so swiftly and easily. Kerry played an instrumental roll in getting Alito nominated.
From the NYT:
"God bless John Kerry," said Don Stewart, a spokesman for Senator John Cornyn, a Texas Republican on the Judiciary Committee. "He just cinched this whole nomination. With Senator Kerry, it is Christmas every day."

Either Kerry really does have the magic of Christmas in his heart, or he is the most lethal espionage device ever created by a political party.
